Hello readers allow me to introduce myself. I’m a licensed professional counselor owner and operator of Counseling Care Center PLLC. I served in the U.S. Army from 1993 to 1998 and I’m a proud veteran. I have a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Park University, and Master of Arts in Counseling from Webster University. I have also worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Army Continuing Education Services (ACES) and Army Community Services (ACS). I am always motivated about helping people live better lives. I have an eclectic approach when working with clients.
I believe in building a supportive therapeutic relationship that will aid clients in following their path towards change. I pride myself on finding the therapeutic modality that works best for the client, and it may include cognitive-behavioral, solution focused, motivational interviewing, and rational-emotive behavioral therapy.
You can look forward to columns that talk about the African American experience, and how it relates to counseling and seeking mental health services; like what you need to know, when you are looking for a therapist. What types of question should you ask you mental health medical professional? And great information about Stress, Anger, Anxiety, Depression, Addictions, Relationship issues, Family conflicts, Trauma and abuse, Grief, Parenting Issues, Self-esteem, Career difficulties, Coping with life changes, Child Abuse, Domestic and intimate partner violence.
I look forward to building a great caring and respectful relationship with you the readers.
I welcome your question and the I will do my best to respond to in a informative and engaging manner.
